NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

High School student council meeting at lunch in Mrs. Knisely's room TODAY, 2/26. Let Mrs. Knisely know if you are unable to attend.

JUNIORS:
SAT prep is scheduled for March 3rd during 6th and 7th hours. Please bring your chrome book, calculator and pencil/pen. You can report directly to the cafeteria and Ms. Grentz will take attendance. CTE teacher know that you will be attending this event.

Effective, Feb 23rd - distance learning is only an option for students who are quarantined or who have otherwise prearranged it as a long term plan. It will no longer be an option for students home with intermittent illness. Teachers will not be required to allow students who are not pre-approved, long term distant learners to attend a Google Meets during intermittent absences from school. Only pre-approved distant learners will be marked as 'present' when attending remotely. This is a step toward resuming more normal operations and will help teachers know which distance learners to expect each day.

Junior High Tutoring with Mrs. Grentz in room 303 (Mrs. Maddux's room)

COLLEGE MEETINGS:

Seniors: Sign up to meet with NMU admissions through ZOOM on March 4th during 5th hour. Seniors need to check in to class for attendance before coming to Mrs. Grentz's office.

LOST & FOUND:

Wallet found by custodian. Come to the High School Office to describe it if you think it is yours.

Fit-bit type of watch was found on the track around the football field on Saturday morning, 9/26/20. If you lost one or know of anybody who did, please stop by the office and see Mrs. Frisk to describe it. The fit-bit is being held at the Sacred Heart School.
CLUB NEWS:

High School SADD meeting will be Wednesday’s at lunch in Mrs. Grentz’s room.

REMINDERS:

Attention Students: Unless you have a meeting at lunch, you will not be allowed to receive a Styrofoam tray or cut the line. Thank you.

Yearbooks: The Early Bird Yearbook special is here!! 2020-21 yearbooks are on sale this month only for $35!!! You can pre-order online through the school website, use this link: https://jostensyearbooks.com/?REF=A03795400, or come to room 325 fifth hour to get your copy reserved today! The price will go up in March, so hurry to get yours!!

Band students are selling chocolate bars $1/candy bar. There is a box in the High School Office if you are interested.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course: Earn your American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate in this 3-day intensive training at the Michigan Tech SDC Pool. All participants much be 15 years of age or older by the first date of the course. Visit American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Blended Learning Course for more information or to register. Days/times: March 5th, 4 p.m.-8 p.m., March 6th, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., March 7, 8 a.m. — 5 p.m. Registration deadline is February 26, 2021. Cost is $110 per participant. *Flyer posted outside the HS Office*

Seniors: Your senior picture, baby picture, and quote for the yearbook only are due by May 1st, 2021. These can be emailed to Ms. Poniatowski aponiatowski@laschools.us, or a hard copy given to her as well. This is only for the yearbook. If you do not turn in any of these by May 1st, it will not go in the 2021 yearbook. Please see Ms. Poniatowski if you have any questions.

2020 Yearbooks are in!! If you preordered, they can be picked up from Room 325 during 5th hour only. If you missed out and didn't order one, we have some extras for $40.
